waterThe fallout from contaminated water wells is now affecting the Village of Flower Hill.

The village recently issued a notice to its residents who are part of the Roslyn Water District (RWD). It stated the new water restrictions for this year.

Specifically, RWD residents of Flower Hill will be limited to watering lawns from 8 to 10 a.m. on odd/even days only.

“Because of the necessity of shutting down two wells because of contamination, these restrictions are required to ensure a safe and adequate supply of drinking water,” the notice stated. “Hand watering may be done for two hours only, odd/even days between the hours of 4 p.m. to 10 a.m.”
