On Thursday, March 27, the Russ family of Roslyn will be honored for their volunteer work for Sunrise Day Camp.
The family—Sharon, Adam, Max, Alex and Sammi Russ will receive the Sunrise Volunteer Award. The award will be given at the March 27 function, which will be held at Glen Head Country Club, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event will benefit Sunrise Day Camp and its year-round programs. The event will include an open bar, dinner and exclusive auction items. The Friends of Sunrise are dedicated to raising funds and awareness to benefit the children and families of Sunrise Day Camp, itself the first dedicated day camp in the U.S. for children with cancer and their siblings.
