Because of the two weather-related school closings earlier this month, in the Roslyn School District, the two scheduled snow makeup days will now be regular days of school including Thursday, April 2 and Friday, May 22. There will be no additional change in the calendar as a result of the third weather-related closing on Monday, Feb. 9.
The Roslyn School District only receives two snow days during the course of a school year. Both of those days have been used up. In addition to snow days, the winter weather forced the school district to reschedule the annual New York State Regents tests. The rests were originally scheduled for Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27, but were eliminated by a snow day and an early dismissal.
