Roslyn Teens Visit Soup Kitchen

teensTeens from Temple Judea, including those from the Roslyn area, recently visited the soup kitchen at Hebrew Union College’s Jewish Institute of Religion.

At the kitchen, they served dinner for 84 guests. Students welcomed those in need, offered them food and drink, and helped to distribute toiletries and clothing. Those students, who had been learning about hunger and the homeless and what Jewish tradition teaches about obligation to those in need, were glad to have had the opportunity to offer assistance to the less fortunate. Future trips include a visit to the Interfaith Nutrition Network and DOROT.
