Five Roslyn High School seniors were named as semifinalists in this year’s National Merit Scholarship Program. Hojun Shin, William Berger, Brandon Tepper, Jordan Rosen and Rachel Mintz are among 16,000 nationwide to be named semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.

About 1.4 million juniors in more than 22,000 U.S. high schools entered the 2015 National Merit Program by taking the 2013 Preli
