Math AThirty students from the East Hills, Harbor Hill and Roslyn Middle School attended the Tenth Annual Nassau Math Olympiad Tournament held on May 24, at SUNY Old Westbury.
The students were coached by Roslyn’s computer teacher, Amy Braunstein, enrichment teacher, Suzanne Falcone, and middle school math teacher, Gabriella Gizzi. There were 275 students in grades 4-6 from schools throughout Nassau County at the tournament, which was co-sponsored by the Nassau County Mathematics Teachers Association and the Nassau County Association of Mathematics Supervisors.
During the tournament, the students competed in individual and team contests. These problems were intense and stimulated the minds of our students. The Roslyn Middle school team took third place overall in the team competition. Congratulations to all the students who participated
