Robbery In Roslyn Heights


The Third Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred in Roslyn Heights on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 6:22 p.m.

According to detectives, a 36 year-old male victim arranged to purchase a car he had seen on Craigslist by meeting the owner in front of a residence located on Carlyle Place. After the victim realized there was no car at the location he was approached by two unknown male subjects, detectives said. Subject one, detectives added, tried to distract the victim as he spoke on his cell phone and to the victim. He is described as being a black male, 6’ 0 tall, medium build, 150 lbs., wearing a dark-hooded sweat shirt and dark pants.

Subject two, detectives said, pointed a black handgun and demanded cash. He then hit the victim in the head with the handgun and removed and undetermined amount of US currency, cell phone, and black wallet, detectives added. Both subjects then fled on foot with the proceeds east on Willow Street. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
