Judi Bosworth, Town of North Hempstead supervisor, presented Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood’s three honorees with proclamations from the town at the Sisterhood’s recent spring dinner at Shiraz Restaurant in Great Neck. The honorees were Sisterhood’s Women of Achievement Deborah Brosowsky and Wende Jager-Hyman, and Daniela Klein, who received the Torah Fund Award for her support
of this fund that helps educate future clergy and teachers in Judaism’s Conservative Movement. Rabbi Alan B. Lucas, the Roslyn Heights synagogue’s senior spiritual leader, acknowledged each woman’s contributions during the awards ceremony. The Sisterhood also installed its officers and full board of trustees at the dinner. It was a beautiful event featuring the restaurant’s Persian and Mediterranean cuisine.
