No Arrests In Roslyn Heights Robbery

The Third Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred in Roslyn Heights on Monday, Sept. 15 at 1:11 pm.

According to detectives, a man approached a 58-year-old woman who had loaded up her car with groceries and was sitting in her 2013 Mercedes Benz parked in the Holiday Farms lot located at 374 Roslyn Rd.

The man, detectives added, demanded her jewelry and took a wedding ring that was on her finger. The subject then fled on foot east on the south service road of the Long Island Expressway.

The Roslyn Middle School and the Locust Lane School located nearby were locked down as a precaution, detectives said. The Nassau County Aviation and Canine Unit assisted in the search.

The male subject, detectives added, is described as being a black male, 30-40 years of age, gray hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants. There were no injuries reported.
