PlaygroundOn Monday, Aug. 1, officials from the Village of Flower Hill happily cut the ribbon on the latest addition to Flower Hill Park. Village officials have installed a climbing and play apparatus suitable for children ages 5 to 12. The explorer dome allows children to climb, slide, balance and swing all while using their imaginations and getting great exercise. The dome was installed using a ground surface called Fibar, which consists of engineered wood fibers that knit together to form a safe playground surface that is soft enough to cushion falls yet firm enough for wheelchairs.  Fibar is manufactured with only virgin wood and meets all safety standards. The new piece of equipment expands the current recreational offerings of the park, which includes a playground for children ages 2 to 5 and a regulation size basketball court.
