The Rabbi Ario S. & Tess Hyams Judaica Museum in cooperation with The Harriet & Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center & Archives of Queensborough Community College invites the pubkic to the opening of Temple Beth Sholom of Roslyn’s newest exhibition “In the Land of the Shahs” at 4 p.m. followed by a viewing of the film Desert Dancer at 5 p.m. Free and open to the public and includes a Q&A with producers Daniel Roubeni and Daniel Bass. The celebration of Persian history and culture continues with dinner by Colbeh at 7 p.m. (couvert $50 by March 1; $60 after March 1) and a discussion of the museum exhibit with Dr. Dan Lesham and Rabbi Isodoro Aizenberg followed by a dessert reception with music at 8:30 p.m. Temple Beth Sholom is at 401 Roslyn Rd.
