Roslyn NewsSid Jacobson JCC’s Randi and Bruce Pergament Jewish Film Festival returns on Wednesday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m. for the 23rd year. The opening night film is the documentary East Jerusalem/West Jerusalem directed by Henrique Cymerman and Erez Miller. The documentary will also be shown on Thursday, June 2, at 2 p.m.
In the film, Israeli recording artist David Broza sets out to realize his dream of cooperation and dialog between Israelis and Palestinians through music. During eight days of joint creation in an East Jerusalem studio, a hopeful message of equality and unity arises.

Broza will make a special appearance on opening night for a post-
film conversation and to perform a few songs.
