On Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m., Linda Opyr, former Nassau County poet laureate, will give a reading at Clark Botanic Gardens.
Opry is the author of seven collections of poetry. Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies, journals, magazines and newspapers, including The Hudson Review and The New York Times.
Her program last April at Clark filled the room to capacity. Many who attended were amazed at the hidden talents of the many different types of readers that day – young and old. If you think you don’t like poetry, give it a chance and enjoy a surprising afternoon.
Fee is $10 for members; $12 for non-members. Refreshments served. Pre-registration required. Call Maria Morgan at 516-484-8603 to register. Make you check payable to Clark Botanic Gardens.
Clark Botanic Gardens is located at 193 I.U. Willets Rd., Albertson.
