‘Disgusting’ Treatment Of Animals

After reading about the animal abuse within The Ringling Bros., Barnum and Bailey Circus, I could not believe that any animal in their care could and would be treated with such disgusting treatment. To add insult to injury, the article read that the Ringling Bros. Circus announced they would stop using elephants in their shows by 2018. How decent of them, which means that for the next three years, the elephants will still live under disgusting, abusive treatments. I say that is ridiculous. This circus and their owners should be heavily fined for animal abuse and they should be shut down completely. How disgusting it was to read of the magnificent animals in pain and abuse. When my children were young, we took them to see the wonderful circus when they came to town. To the circus owners, I say shame on you. I will never, ever think of the circus as fun and enjoyment. I will always remember them as animal abusers, and I will pass this information on to everyone so that they know what they are paying for when their family goes to the circus.
