This year, the Roslyn Landmark Society will celebrate Veterans Day by presenting a talk by a World War II veteran. On Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m., at the Atria on Roslyn Harbor, Bernard Radar, along with June Radar, will share his war memories.
Radar was in the 94th Infantry Division, 301st Regiment, Company K as a rifleman. In October, 1944, a platoon of soldiers, including Radar were sent to get German troops in Brittany.
