Spring 2014 Adult Education brochures have been mailed to residents in the Roslyn, Herricks, and East Williston School districts. Many courses are sure to inspire and excite. There are computer classes, art classes, exercise, fitness and dance, Mah Jongg, crafts, driving safety, classes in humanities and sciences, languages including French, Chinese, Italian and Spanish, lifestyle classes that range from the secrets of organizing, living your life without fear, to healthy living and eating. There are trips and tours and the gourmet luncheon series.
The program continues to welcome residents of the East Williston and Herricks School Districts into the Roslyn Adult Education family. Residents of all three districts may now pay the resident rate for course offerings and trips, and are eligible for senior citizen discounts, as well. Classes are held at both the Roslyn Adult Education and the Herricks Community Center. Details are in the catalog. Register early as many courses have limited enrollment. Registration forms can be sent in via mail or fax. In-person registration is between 10 a.m. – noon on weekdays. Instructions are on the form. A $5 registration fee must be included. Registrations will not be taken over the phone.
The Adult Education office is in the Roslyn Public Schools Annex at 440 Round Hill Rd., next door to Roslyn High School and across the street from the East Hills School (in the St. Mary’s building). Please note: The Adult Education office will be closed for the winter recess from Feb. 17 to Feb. 21. You can still send in your registrations by mail or fax and they will be processed as soon as we return in the order they were received.
