A wintry mix is headed our way just in time for the morning commute, according to the National Weather Center, which has issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at 4 a.m. through 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Nassau County is expected to get anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of snow by Tuesday evening. Snow may mix with rain in some areas.

The meltdown will begin for the massive snow piles left by previous storms on Friday, when temperatures are expected to hit the 50-degree mark.
