Roslyn High School Senior Jeremy Kaplan has committed to play football for Tulane University, New Orleans. Kaplan, a kicker, was offered a preferred walk-on position by the Tulane football program, guaranteeing him a roster spot on the team. He will report to training camp on Aug. 2. Kaplan is a four-year varsity member of the Roslyn High School Bulldogs football team and was a member of the 2013 Conference Champion Team, during which season he connected on all 20 of his extra-point opportunities.
This past season, Kaplan was a team captain and started at kicker, punter, safety and wide receiver. He received the team’s Most Improved Player Award from head coach, Michael Corcoran.
In addition to working with his Roslyn football coaches, Kaplan has trained extensively with Hammer Kicking Academy, One-on-One Kicking and Koepplin Kicking, all of whom he credits with preparing him to play Division 1 college football.
